Uneducated Thoughts: The Female Gives Up Politics For Lent

Hey guys.
I'm just going to start this one out by saying
I don't care.
Now, don't immediately think I have become apathetic about my life.
Or have been totally reborn as a nihilist.
No.
I'm just giving up on trying to care about politics.
Now, I know, I know.
It's my country.
It's other peoples countries.
Its the way the world goes and I should participate in making it an ultimately better place.
But
let's face it.
I'm no feminist.
I wish I were a guys sometimes, not because I'm attracted to girls or anything,
but because I just respect guys more.
And I know, that's such an awful, heteronormative, gender-normy thing.
But I just don't care anymore.
Almost all of the people I look up to are guys.
(I'll admit, they aren't the manliest men in the world, but they're people that I honestly respect)

I read an article in the paper a little while ago
about how it's weirder to see a young boy wearing dresses than a young girl wearing guys clothing
because we still see girls as the lesser gender.
So why would a boy want to become weaker?
I just thought I should share that.

Speaking of the paper!
I can't even read it anymore.
I used to really enjoy it,
but now all I read is the film reviews, because that's the only escape from.
"Blahblahblah Barack Obama blahblahblah guns blahblahblah massacre"
It's all so depressing.

Additionally,
(because I'm just gonna spill my guts out all over this post)
I've become so sick of listening.
I mean, sure, I'm still open to listen and help when it's needed.
But I have been feeling so ready to just give that up,,
so willing to force my opinions onto others.
It's kind of a shame.
I feel so selfish.

I've been wanting an old instant film camera aLOT lately.
(Maybe inspired by this old video I found hanging around on the internet)
But I'm not willing to pay hundreds of dollars for it.
I've been looking in antique stores for one, but I haven't found one yet.

I've been doing a lot of art as well.
It's a really good way to get your mind off of things.

And I drew this last night when I couldn't sleep.

It's really an enjoyable pastime, and it's something I'd love to incorporate into my future.

HOLY FISHING SHISHKABOBS!

I GOT A SUBSCRIBER.
And, not only that, my subscriber was THE brian WIlliam Green.
That's right, the brilliant photographer.

Hot dogs and bean sauce, that is amazing.
I need to get back in front of the camera, because, quite frankly, I haven't talked to one in a while.
And, now that past videos have been brought back to my attention, I realize that I've been (basically) ignoring you guys.
And I am EXTREMELY sorry.
This week, there WILL be a new video up Wednesday, camera or not.
I'll figure something out.

Uneducated Thoughts : "A New Medium: Panda Pornography"

So,
just recently,
my camera battery came in the mail.
There's just one tiny little problem.
The camera still doesn't work.

I've been listening to a lot of Pandora lately.
I think it's kinda neat.

I've also been a bit bored.
It's not that I don't have ideas.
I have plenty of ideas.
But they're all sitting around and getting stale.
I have no means of executing them.
Soon, they'll start rotting.
Gross.

My efforts to make a friend are going okay.
We still haven't had any successful conversations yet,
but we try.
We're getting there.

YACHT is going on tour.
Yeah.
With The Presets.
So that's pretty neat.
Too bad the closest place they're coming to is New York.

So, I had an interesting little altercation with my sister the other day.
Somehow, something about blogging came up.
She told me I should make a blog.
After a long, awkward, pause, I said,
"I already have one."
Then she accused me of using it to post Mitchell Davis/Panda Bear pornography.
And that was it.

I don't know why it scares me so much that she could find out.
It just does.

The other day I drew my self.
And I've been doing a lot of 'video research'.
(AKA: Watching Bath Boys videos and trying to convince myself it's a good use of my time.)

Ooh, Look At Me, Bein' All Artsy-Fartsy (Mature, I Know)

Hey, guys.
So.
My room is pretty cool (in my opinion), but the walls have been blank for too long, so,
I have made things.

the way my life has been changed. I want to be the Mitchell Davis of one other
confused little teenager, some day. I want to give them that same inspiration, that
same spark to keep going. I just hope I can do that."

I'm Having Way Too Much Fun With This

Hey guys. Here's another Garage Party video I made.
 It was mainly just me having fun with iMovie, but along the way I've decided that it's a scattered story about a blue-eyed girl who has locked herself up in her house, but eventually learns to overcome her fear of the outdoors and obsession with the computer, and ventures into the outdoors.
 I've been wanting to make a video with this song for a while, and I'm pretty happy with how it came out. (Especially the "getting in and out of bed" scene. That was so much fun to make)

The reason I put in the "Garage Party titles is because my youtube profile page says "Garage Party" on the top of it. i make videos in the garage, so that's what I'm calling these.
Now, I would love to make a new youtube account called "GarageParty" or (even better) change my original screen name to GarageParty, but, you know...

Trying New Things Is Hard

So, today I went out into the garage with my camera and took a few videos of myself talking. They aren't great, but I did put the lighting checks and some of the more awkward moments together into this lovely video:

Other Things I Enjoy Doing

 Just in case I've ben worrying you with all my talk of roleplaying games (by the way, only 79 more days until I get the Vindicator of They Class- but who's counting?), I would like to reassure you that I do other things with my life as well, such as...
1.Write-Yup. I like to write stuff. Writing stuff is very fun. I'm almost finished one of my writing things, then I'll just need to either a) proofread it, or b) hide it away in some folder on my computer. I'll probably end up doing the latter of the two, because I'm just that kind of person, and I'm not as proud of that one as I am of my other ones.
2. Make Videos-Okay, this isn't really something I do (necessarily). It's more something I would love to do, if I had video camera. I've got all the ideas, though. They're all up there in my skull, hiding away. I made a little slideshow type thing, with lyrics to a song, and just watching the words and the music match up gave me an extreme feeling of happiness. But that doesn't really count. I'll probably make another one anyway. Animation is a cool idea too (since I love to imagine my drawings moving or dancing around), but I probably won't be able to do that (it doesn't bother me as much as the video thing). Still, I'm going to find our camera, or get one for Christmas (hint, hint), so I can try to make some of my ideas happen.
3. Draw-I also enjoy drawing. I like drawing people, eyes, hands, and stick figures playing instruments or looking like real people (I'll try to scan you a picture of that sometime).
4. Read Other Blogs-I don't actually read too many other blogs, just these two.
